Description:
A bust-length relief portrait of
Lieutenant
Colonel
Madison Rogers in
military
uniform. The portrait is above an inscription, and a decorated border surrounds the relief plaque and separates the inscription from the portrait. The relief plaque is attached to the upper section of a two-section base, set upon a foundation.

Madison Rogers, who was killed in battle on May 20, 1863. Erected by the State of Louisiana. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03431). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $270 paid by the state of Louisiana.
