Each flanking stele has a circular bronze relief medallion of a military branch's seal and name on the front. The medallions are, from left to right: Marine, Navy, Army, Air Force. The entire installation is mounted on a low, curved slab. In front of the memorial is a curved walkway with benches. The memorial is lit. It honors veterans of all wars and service men and women. The project was spearheaded by White County resident Jane Tooley and funded through donations from the local community.
