    The sculpture was purchased for $7,000 by Dr. and Mrs. Harold Gifford and donated in memory of their fathers, Harold Gifford and August Jonas, both former deans of the Medical College. Prior to its placement at the Medical Center, the sculpture was exhibited at Turner Park. IAS files contain related newsclipping from the Omaha World-Herald, March 26, 1981, pg. 1.
