    A roughly modeled sculpture depicting Judge Brandeis striding forward wtih his judicial robes blown back by the wind. His proper right arm is raised to his chest and his head is turned to his look over his proper left shoulder. The sculpture is installed on top of a rock.

    Remarks: 
    Louis Brandeis was an American jurist who served as an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court from 1916-1939 and was noted for his devotion to free speech. He later founded Brandeis University. The sculpture was commissioned by Lawrence E. Wein, a trustee of Brandeis University, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Louis Brandeis. The inscription on a nearby plaque reads: LOUIS DEMBITZ BRANDEIS/1856-1941/DEDICATED DURING THE CENTENNIAL YEAR/BY/THE HONORABLE EARL WARREN/CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE UNITED STATES/COMMISSIONED BY LAWRENCE A. WIEN/SCULPTOR ROBERT BERKS.
