    Remarks: 
    Joe Hernandez (1909-1972) served as public announcer at Santa Anita Park from its opening in 1934 until 1972, and was known as the "Voice of Santa Anita." The bust was dedicated on opening day of the 1974-1975 Santa Anita Park meeting, as part of a celebration of the park's 40th anniversary season. IAS files contain an excerpt from: Santa Anita Race Track, Arcadia Handicap, no. 34, Mar. 8, 1974, pg. 34.
