    Description:
At upper center is a barn cupola, painted with the Ak-Sar-Ben coat of arms. The cupola rests on a narrow portion of wood shingle roof. At each end of the roof are flagpoles. Midway between the cupola and each flagpole are lightning rods. Supporting the roof are two pillars made of split fieldstone. Just below the roof are hay sling pulleys and tracks. Suspended below the center pulleys is the TACEY FARMS LTD. sign, which in turn rests on the two hand pumps. In summertime, water flows from the pumps into an oval horse tank in the center of the monument. Low fieldstone walls run between the pillars on both sides of the tank.

    Remarks:
This monument was built by Roger and Joyce Tacey, who operate Tacey Farms. They built the monument in conjunction with the pioneer family farm award that they received from Nebraska Association of Fair Managers, Ak-Sar-Ben and ConAgra, Inc., in honor of 100 years of continuous family ownership of their farm. The monument is made of antiques such as the cupola, lightning rods, wood roof, and hand pumps supplied by the Goeres and Tacey families. IAS files contain copy of newspaper article from the Osmond Republican (Osmond, Nebraska), Aug. 1992, which details the materials used in the creation of the monument.
