    Description: 
    A male with wavy, long hair, clothed in layers of drapery, stands with head and body turned to the proper left. His proper right foot is back and pointing out to the side. He holds a writing instrument in his proper right hand which is slightly raised. His proper left arm is bent into his body where he holds an open book near his chest. The sculpture is mounted upon a four-sided gravestone base with a tiered bottom. Bas-relief wreaths decorate each side of the cornice and an egg and dart pattern borders the bottom of the cornice. Each side of the base contains a recessed panel with a curved upper edge. The sculpture is situated in the center of a grassy knoll surrounded by a low circular wall. Four steps lead up to the knoll through the wall. Individual headstones surround the sculpture.
