Standing figure of a male police officer dressed in uniform, including a hat and tie. He holds the proper left hand of a little boy dressed in long pants and short-sleeved shirt who stands at his proper right side. There is a portable, two-way
radio
at the officer's proper left hip and a gun on his proper right hip.

Remarks:
Sculpture is one of several similar castings done by the artist dedicated to police officers. This figure's uniform has been customized with Mountain Brook patches, gun and tie tack of retired officers. IAS files contain vitae from R. M. Brodin Studios, which gives history of the "Protector" series and has photograph of the individuals who served as a model for the series.
