Description:
Two sculptures placed in a grassy area in a corporate plaza. "The Public Abandons Philosophy" depicts a small stack of cast off newspapers in which sit two half eaten sandwiches and a slice of pizza. "Pigeons Acquire Philosophy" depicts three pigeons situated on or near a similar newspaper stack. A broken egg also sits on the papers. Poetry appears on the plaque and on the newspapers.

Remarks:
One of seven sculptural collaborations between artists and poets that make up the "Poets' walk" series throughout Citicorp Plaza. Series was funded and commissioned by the Prudential Realty Group at an approximate cost of $1.3 million. Lucoff/Lewis Advisors in the Visual Arts were consultants.
