    Description: 
    Series of single and grouped sculptures of Christmas lights. Motifs include traditional Christmas images such as bells, candles, wreaths and angels and a dove. Motifs also include local school mascots, a map outline of the state of Louisiana, an American flag, and a magnolia flower. The sculptures are lit with different colored bulbs including red, green, blue, gold and white. The sculptures are mounted on wooden poles which are set directly into the ground on the bank of a river.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is placed on the eastern bank of the Cane River in downtown Natchitoches. The lights are officially turned on the evening of the first Saturday in December. Solomon and Londier designed the different sculptures over the course of many years. IAS files contain detailed dimensions and descriptions of each individual sculpture and grouping.
