    Remarks:
William Corlett. Sr. and Henry Higby Gutterson, of Gutterson and Corlett, were the architects of the Berkeley High School Community Theater building, a Works Progress Administration project. The theater was designed around 1939 and construction begun in late 1940, but stopped during World War II and resuming in 1949-1950. For related reading see Robert Bernhard's "Buildings of Berkeley, Phase II," Oakland, CA: Forest Hills Press, 1991. IAS files contain a City of Berkeley Landmark application for the Berkeley High School and the Community Theater.
