Description:
Seven bronze figures representing Greek gods and goddesses, mounted on the east and west facades of a library. Represented are: Demeter, Hephaestos,
Hera
, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, and Poseidon. Six of the abstract figures are located on the east facade over the main entrance, positioned against polished gold-coated disks inset into the wall; the seventh figure, Poseidon, is on the west facade, positioned against a concave, square inset. The figures are mounted to the wall with metal spikes and protrude about six inches from the wall.
