    Description: 
    Full-length, winged Eros figure leans on a garland draped pillar. The partially clothed figure leans on his proper arm on the pillar. His proper right leg crosses over his proper left leg and he is looking towards his proper left. His bow rests against his proper right side.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was originally installed in the Sunken Garden at the Planting Fields Arboretum. It was later moved to the home of Robert D. Coe, the Chateau Saint-Croix, Bruges, France, and returned in 1986. It was moved into the camellia greenhouse in 1991. IAS files contain a photocopied image of the sculpture as part of a fountain.
    Nearby plaque reads: "EROS MADE IN 1903 (sic) BY GODE-CHARLES, IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY THE GOD OF LOVE, SON OF APHRODITE; THE GREEK EQUIVALENT OF THE ROMAN CUPID"
