Description:  Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" holding her dog Toto with her proper left arm while her proper right arm is bent at her waist and her proper right hand touches her proper left elbow. The original sculpture for Watson Park was vandalized and destroyed; a second was stolen (April 27, 1993), thrown into the Wichita River. Although subsequently found by fisherman, the second statue sustained severe damage (including a chipped foot, broken base and cracked concrete pad). This third sculpture was created specifically for the Wichita River Festival's "Walk with Dorothy" program. The sculpture was commissioned by the Wichita Park Alliance.
