    Description: 
    A memorial consisting of a bronze eagle with outstretched wings perched on a globe bearing the Second Bomb Group logo. This bronze sculpture is placed atop a wide base that consists of a central black-granite panel flanked by grey-granite panels. At the top of each granite panel is an engraving of an airplane and below each airplane is an inscription detailing the history of the Second Bomb Group from World War I through Operation Desert Storm. Engraved at the top of the front left base panel is a DH-4 aircraft; at the top of the front center base panel is a ACFT marking symbol, a B-17 aircraft, and unit emblems for four bomb squadrons; and at the top of the front right base panel is a B-52 aircraft. Two granite benches face each other in front of the memorial.
