    Description: 
    Two monumental relief panels on building facade. Each allegorical panel consists of male and female figures in classical Greek garments, holding items that symbolize the functions of the building, including: Law, Peace, Justice and Learning. At the feet of the larger figures is a smaller group of figures that reflect Washtenaw's County history from pioneer to contemporary days. Included is a beer bottle, reflecting the history of the brewing industry in Ann Arbor.

    The sculpture was created for the new County Courthouse building, designed in the International Style under the direction of architect R. S. Gerganoff.
