The figure of Confederacy wears a dress and earrings, hair in a bun, and holds a bouquet of flowers in her proper right hand. The figure of France wears a dress with bustle and a tri-cornered cap and feather. In her proper right hand she holds a decree, and in her proper left, a dagger-like object.
