Scenes depicted include: early European exploration, settlement and government; The War of 1812; the development of the State's legal system; and violent portrayals of war, Indian massacres, and funerals. On the east wall, agricultural and coastal landscape scenes are depicted: a horse and plow; figures harvesting and sowing; a riverboat and masted sailing ship; a figure with a net; and shipping, fishing and trapping activities.
