Description:
A fountain with a sculpture of a young Danish immigrant standing with a jacket draped over his bent proper right forearm and his proper left foot extended slightly forward. He wears a cap, a long-sleeved, collarless shirt, open at the neck, suspenders and high-top shoes. The sculpture is mounted on a tapered, rectangular base and set in an octagonal basin. The sculpture is lit at night.

A plaque on a wall behind the fountain reads: THE DANISH IMMIGRANT STATUE WAS ERECTED JULY 1981 WITH THE HELP OF MANY/WHO DONATED TIME AND MONEY. NUMEROUS FAMILIES CONTRIBUTED IN MEMORY OF/LOVED ONES WHO CAME TO AMERICA DURING EARLY YEARS. WE ACKNOWLEDGE/CONTRIBUTIONS BY LISTING NAMES BELOW. MANGE TAK/DE KOM FRA DANMARK/(list of names follows). IAS files contain a partial transcription of the names on the plaque. The sculpture was presented by the Danish Brotherhood, Lodge No. Seventy-Five in appreciation of its Danish heritage.
