Series of four full-length bronze sculptures of Christopher Columbus set on a round concrete base. Each of the figures faces outward, aligned with a different point on the compass. A parrot appears with each of the four representations; the expressions on Columbus' face are echoed in the parrot's face. The figure facing south is kneeling on the proper left knee, his proper right hand raised to his eyes. The parrot sits on his proper left arm. The figure rests on a bronze block. The figure facing west is standing, parrot on proper right shoulder, hands in front of chest in gesturing posture. The figure facing north is standing, wearing a long cape, and holding his hands up around his face as if shouting. The parrot is in flight over his proper right shoulder. The figure to the east is sitting on a block, head bowed. The parrot rests on his proper left knee.
