Description:  The south side of the Capitol feature three panels depicting: the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the granting of the Magna Charta by King John of England, and the writing of the U.S. Constitution. Above these carved panels ten full-length "Great Law Givers of the Western World," stand atop piers. The ten heroic-sized lawgivers include: Minos, Hammurabi, Moses, Akhnaton, Solon, Solomon, Julius Caesar, Justinian, Charlemagne, and Napoleon.
