    Remarks:
The monument of Roger Ludlow, founder of the town of Norwalk, was donated by Mrs. W. K. James, a descendent of Ludlow's, and was originally located on land provided by Josiah R. and William E. Marvin at the junction of Gregory Boulevard, Fifth Street and Marvin Street. In 1901, the monument was relocated, redesigned and rededicated. The stone box with bronze plaque and relief were added at that time. IAS files contain related excerpt from Dannenburg, "The Romance of Norwalk," 1929, pg. 62.
