    Description: 
    Bronze bust of two men engaged in arm wrestling. They are depicted from the shoulders up, except for their proper right arms, which are clenched together between them. Their elbows rest on square pads and the veins stand out on their arms. The figure on the proper right is grimacing and his head is turned to the proper right. The figure on the proper left is bald and is looking down at the table between them. The sculpture stands on a square base of stone tile. Mounted to the front of the base is a bronze plaque featuring a bas-relief portrait bust of Bill Soberanes. He is shown in proper right profile, his head turned to face the viewer. He holds a pipe in his proper right hand. He wears a shirt, suit jacket and tie.

    Remarks: 
    Soberanes is a Petaluma columnist and founder of the World Wrist Wrestling Championship, which is held in Petaluma. The sculpture was erected by the citizens of Petaluma in honor of Soberanes' contributions to the community. IAS files contain copy of related "World's Championship Wristwrestling 30th Anniversary" booklet (Oct. 12, 1991). IAS files also contain an unidentified article with a photo of Bill Soberanes taken in front of the sculpture during the dedication.
