    Description: 
    One of five groupings of sculpture placed at various sites within Battery Park. This particular grouping includes a large marble pool of water with ripples set in the grass. On one side is a marble waterfall flowing down a concrete wall. Next to that is a second waterfall cascading down four steps. There are feet coming out of the water on the steps. Above this is a small pool of water, and above the straight waterfall is a square piece of marble with fingers and a mouth coming out of it.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain transcript of an interview with the artist, Nov. 21, 1992; and design information supplied by T. J. Boyle and Associates, landscape architects for the park. Paul Aschenbach was the primary artist working with Bill Ford, Terry Dinan, John Wittenberg, Bob Vesely and students from the University of Vermont. Funding was provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $3,000 given in 1974 to the University of Vermont, with matching funds raised by the congregation of St. Paul's Cathedral, the Episcopal Church, and other local business and community members.
