A mythical sea lion with the mane and face of a lion, and the tail of a fish. The sea lion reclines, with tail curved around the proper right side.

The mythical sea lion is supposed to bring good luck to stone businesses. Cut in Peter Bertoni's shed, placed in front of the business, then at the entrance to Bottigi's home. In 1932, it became the property of his daughter, Mrs. W. N. Anderson in Birmingham, AL. After 1979, it was returned to be placed in the Museum, where it is now housed indoors. One of the earliest items made of Elberton Granite.
