    Description: 
    This sculpture designed as a piece of playground equipment is a fantasy rendering of a dragonfly. The head has two large eyes made out of tractor tires, the shell is a pyramid of stacked timber, and the rest of the body is represented by a chain and plank bridge with two forked limbs inserted into the ground as the ending tail element.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was funded by a grant from the Arkansas Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The artist was assisted in the construction of the sculpture by Waldron High School students in Mr. Wilcox's Agri class and the Special Education class. Help with the cost of materials was provided by Sim's Building Supply, Starr Hardware, and Lewis Lumber. IAS files contain articles from the Waldron News, March 29, 1990 and April 12, 1990.
