Granville Public Library, Library Board, 211 East Broadway, Granville, Ohio 43023
    Remarks:
The sculpture was funded by Committee 75, a group of community donors, the Granville Public Library Board and the Ohio Arts Council. A commemorative plaque inside the library lists donors' names. The names on the spine represent Calvin Prine and Richard Mann, co-chairs of the Committee. The ship the "Dorothy," is named after Mr. Mann's wife. The base is constructed of sandstone from an Opera House which once stood in town. The stone was quarried in Granville. IAS files include the artist's statement and a commemorative bookmark from the library.
