    Description: 
    Sculpture is a three-sided Zia symbol mounted atop a trapezoid which sits directly on the ground. The symbol has an open circular center with four sets of four straight lines pointing outward from the circle's perimeter.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was originally commissioned by the city of Albuquerque and located in Civic Plaza. Because of renovations to the plaza, it was removed. Ownership was then turned over to the Public Art Program The Program held a competition between neighborhoods to select a sight for permanent relocation of the sculpture. The sculpture was relocated to the Santa Barbara School in the Santa Barbara/Martineztown neighborhood. IAS files contain copies of documents and correspondence relating to the change of ownership, the competition publicity, the Santa Barbara/Martineztown Neighborhood Association submission, and the relocation of the sculpture.
