    Description: 
    The stone is carved in relief with an emblem depicting a shield containing a Masonic emblem of a compass and an L-shaped square in a circle, with an eye at the top. The top of the shield is incised with: PROSUNT OMNIBUS 1852. The emblem is surrounded by an incised inscription with the letters filled in with gold leaf on a pink ground.

    Remarks: 
    One of 193 commemorative stones set into the interior walls of the Washington Monument. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The Masons, Grand Lodge of Georgia donated the stone, which is located at the 140 ft. level. The marble came from the quarry of I.B. Artope (sic).
