Remarks:
The memorial honors North Brunswick policemen, including patrolman Heacock, who have died in the line of duty. The memorial was planned by the North Brunswick
Police
, Death, Retirement, Widows and Orphans Fund. Funds for the memorial were raised by students of the Michael V. Abruzzi' Golden Tiger Karate School. Cost of the memorial was approx. $20,000. Materials and services for the creation of the memorial were donated by several community individuals and businesses. IAS files contain copy of related article from Home News (New Brunswick, NJ) May 12, 1995, which lists donors of materials and services and list of seven names on honor roll.
