St. Therese as an adolescent girl seated on a low wall next to her father. Both are dressed in 19th century attire. St. Therese wears a full-length dress and has long hair. On her lap is an open book, presumably the Bible, and roses. She turns towards her father at her proper right with hands clasped before her in a pleading gesture. Her father is balding and bearded and dressed in an ankle-length overcoat and boots. He faces St. Therese with his proper right palm up and open and his proper left hand resting on his lap. The sculpture is mounted upon a rectangular base made of aggregate minerals, geodes and semiprecious stones.
