    Description: 
    A crouched lion drinks from a small water hole. The sculpture articulates the lions' muscular body, barbed tongue, tufted tail, and massive paws with claws retracted. Imprinted in the mud on the base of the sculpture are animal footprints and a small African mask.

    The sculpture was fabricated through the patronage of Eva F. Bennett, Randolph G. Austin, and the Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center. Tim Degginger and other foundry personnel assisted the artist with the sculpture's fabrication.
