The stone is carved in relief with an image depicting three different fire trucks --the hose truck, the pumper truck, and the equipment truck. In the background there is the
Fairmount
Waterworks
on the banks of the Schuylkill River. Above the relief image there is an incised inscription.

Remarks:
One of 193 commemorative stones set into the interior walls of the Washington Monument. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The Fire Department of Philadelphia donated the stone, which is located at the 250 ft. level.
