This sculpture portrays World War II general William O. Darby on a
motorcycle
. His proper right foot rests on the ground and his proper right arm and hand point off into the distance. A rifle in a gun case is attached to the proper right front wheel of the
motorcycle
, and there are saddlebags on either side of the rear wheel of the
motorcycle
.

Remarks:
General William O. Darby was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Feb. 8, 1911. He graduated from Fort Smith High School and the U.S.Military at West Point. During World War II he was killed in action on April 30, 1945 at Torbole, Italy.
