    Description:
A four-sided vault containing a time capsule rests on four legs on top of a two tiered base. One face of the vault is adorned with a relief entitled "Five Forces" that contains portraits of past leaders in Fort Myers, Florida, who brought the spirit of hard work, creativity, and concern for the welfare of Southwest Florida. Included are: Billy Bowlegs, a Seminole chief, wearing a headdress; Jacob Summerlin, King of the Cracker cowboys; inventor Thomas Edison; humanitarian Ella Piper; and a uniformed Airman from the World War II Army Base at Page Field.
On another face of the sculpture is an inlaid relief titled "Forever Young" that pays homage to the steamboat captains, railroad men, and early aviators who opened Fort Myers to settlement. The relief depicts, from top to bottom, a steamboat along a waterfront; a Seminole-looking guardian angel holding a gladiolus in her proper right hand and a walking stick in her proper left, representing a desire to keep moving and a concern for natural beauty; the Fort Myers Historical Museum, ensuring the sanctity of the items placed in the time capsule; a biplane flying in front of the Museum; an old locomotive.
