Inscription:  (On proper right rear leg:) JOE BARRINGTON/91 signed Description:  A giant snapping turtle is depicted taking a step up the slanted embankment where the sculpture is installed. The turtle hugs the ground with its body while lifting its head and opening its mouth. The sculpture is not on a base but is positioned directly on the embankment which runs between two small lakes.
