    (On a plaque attached to the rim of fountain pool:) FOUNTAIN AND ART SCULPTURES/DONATED BY/VIRGINIA YERGENS (On another plaque attached to the rim of pool:) WHERE ARE THE KOALA AND THE PLATYPUS?/At this time, you won't see these two/well-known Australian animals on exhibit./KOALAS eat nothing but the tender leaves of a few kinds of/eucalyptus trees. Since these trees can't grow in cold weather/we can't keep koalas here permanently./The Australian government doesn't allow exportation of/PLATYPUS to any other countries. You'll have to travel to/Australia to see these unusual mammals./Bronze sculptures by Connie Phillips unsigned
    Description: 
    In the center of a circular fountain pool, a bronze sculpture of a koala clinging to a branch with its cub on its back is mounted atop a tall circular base. Nearby, a bronze sculpture of a platypus is mounted atop a short circular base just above the surface of fountain pool. The pool also contains four low fountain jets and four planters mounted on circular bases of varying heights.
