Description:
An open, eight-columned structure houses a fountain and is topped by a bust of Michael Jeffers. The lower portion is octagonal with the fountain in the center. The fountain has a
lion
's head on each of its four sides from which water spouts, and is topped with an urn. The whole structure stands on a three-tiered round base.

Remarks:
Gift of John Jeffers in memory of his brother Michael Jeffers (1831-1904). Michael Jeffers came to Saginaw in 1853 and was known for his real estate holdings, and his service as alderman, city controller and Justice of the Peace. The monument was designed and fabricated by A. Hobson & Company; Henry-Bonnard & Company cast the bust of Jeffers.
