Owner:
Community Services Building, At Summit and Jackson Streets, Toledo, Ohio
Remarks:
Donated to the Community Services Building by the Stranahan Foundation in memory of Robert A. Stranahan, Sr. and Frank D. Stranahan. Inspiration for the title of the sculpture came from the message of Ecclesiastes, chapter 13 in the Old Testament. According to the sculptor, "the sculpture depicts people sharing with people," a theme embodied by the agencies housed in the Community Services Building. The artist's daughter was the model for the young girl. Merle Legg was the model for the older man. IAS files contain an undated article from the Point & Shoreland Journal; and two letters to the editor from The Blade (Toledo, Ohio), June 26, 1981.
