Pan American Health Organization, 525 23rd Street, N.W., Between windows on the outside of the building, Washington, District of Columbia
Remarks:
Building architect Roman Fresnedo Siri, from Uruguay) originally planned that seals for the Pan American Health Organization Building would be carved in granite and placed in the vertical fins of the exterior wall, as a sign of Unity. Michael Lantz, American sculptor, designed the seals. Goode's text "The Outdoor Sculpture of Washington, D.C.," includes an illustration and detailed description of only one of the medallions
--
the seal or coat of arms of Barbados.
