Description:
The stone is carved in relief with an emblem depicting an American eagle with arrows held in one claw and a laurel branch held in the other claw. The emblem is surrounded by an incised inscription. The corners of the stone are carved in relief with a shell design.

One of 193 commemorative stones set into the interior walls of the Washington Monument. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The State of
Mississippi
donated the stone, which is located at the 90 ft. level.
