    Remarks:
The sculpture was intended to be part of a fountain, with a stream of water playing off the child's proper left hand, but technical difficulties and a shortage of funds changed plans. The artist describes the work as "a child playing in water or enjoying a water environment." The plants of the sculpture represent those which thrive from early spring through late fall in this area of Michigan. Tom Irwin created the terraced garden beneath the sculpture. IAS files contain related correspondence from the Ingraham County Drain Commissioner.
