Garden of the Zodiac, (sculpture). Artist:  Aeppli, Eva, sculptor. Susse Fondeur, founder. Title:  Garden of the Zodiac, (sculpture). Digital Reference:  Medium:  Heads: bronze, some gilded; Bases: stone. Dimensions:  22 pieces. Each head: approx. 14 x 10 x 10 in.; Each base: approx. 5 ft. x 6 in. x 6 in. Inscription:  (Plaque on front of each base gives zodiac name of name of a planet, moon or the sun) unsigned Description:  Twelve bronze heads, on bases, representing the signs of the zodiac set along an enclosed, circular walkway. Each head sits in an equal twelfth section of the enclosing wall. The signs are arranged in the order in which they appear on a zodiac chart. Nine gold-coated heads, on bases, representing the planets, the moon and the sun, stand uncovered in the middle of the circle. (One is missing from its base). Each head is different. The heads of the planets, moon, and sun are arranged in alignment with the zodiac heads to mark the zodiacal birth date of the artist.
