Remarks:
One of 193 commemorative stones set into the interior walls of the Washington Monument. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The City of Washington, D.C. donated the stone, which is located at the 80 ft. level. The stone was set with cement mixed with earth taken from the great monumental mound in Crakow, Poland, in honor of General Thaddeus Kosicusko of Poland, who fought in the American Revolution.
