Description:
A constructivist assemblage with an astronomical configuration of pieces of painted grey steel. Located on the rooftop of the police precint building, the sculpture consists of a large "universe" bowl or disk inspired by 17th century astrolabes. Arranged around the bowl are fragments of doors, steps, wheels and a vessel like form. At night, light emanates from the framework of the vessel. The bowl is connected to an angled, flying truss unit supported by another vertical truss. The sculpture alludes to communications and
