adorn the entrance of the Gorgas Library. Literature is a kneeling female figure with long hair. She is nude except for a skirt, and holds a quill in her proper right hand. She balances a book on her proper left knee. She faces the figure of

on the opposite side of the building.
Printing
is a nude, muscular male figure who kneels before a
printing
press. He holds the lever in his proper right hand rests his proper left arm on a stack of books.
