The mural that represents Mining has a figure of a miner in the center. To the left is Prosperity holding the torch of knowledge and resting her right hand on gold bricks, with the horn of plenty at her feet. To the right is the figure of Equality holding the scales and weighing gold ore. Pictured in the background are mountains.

One of three murals in the lobby of the Denver Mint. The murals as well as most of the interior decorations were completed at a cost of $22,500. The money for this work came from proceeds from the sale of the old mint building (formerly Clark Gruber mint) on 16th & Market street in Denver (built 1860 and torn down in 1907, one year after the 1906 building was opened for coining).
