Description:
Group of full-length figures in classical dress representing the
arts
and
sciences
. Central figure is seated male with a beard, wearing sandals and draped from the waist down. He has his arms around the two figures standing next to him. On his proper right is a standing bearded male figure dressed in robes with books at his feet, and a seated female figure in a long dress holding a lyre. To his proper left is a standing female figure in a long dress holding a mask of tragedy, and a seated male figure with drapery at his waist holding a chisel and mallet. Figures are on a base against a wall at the front of school auditorium entrance.
