Description:
Over the entrance to the south wing of the Union Building is a relief depicting Prometheus bringing inspiration to allegorical figures representing Music, Drama, Sculpture, Science,
Engineering
, and Agriculture. In the center, Prometheus descends with a flaming torch held in his proper left hand and a lightning bolt over his proper right shoulder. To his proper right, Sculpture holds a mallet and chisel; Drama holds up a mask of tragedy; and Music plays a harp. To his proper left, Science examines something through a microscope;

measures something using a pair of calipers; and Agriculture holds a sheaf of wheat and a staff under a sun.
