Description:
Eighteen relief panels located between the upper level windows on the facade of the former Potomac Electric Power Company building depict famous individuals connected with the discovery and application of
electricity
. Most of the panels contain groups of figures, but there are individual panels for Michael Farraday, Thomas Edison, and Charles P. Steinmetz. There are also symbolic figures representing Public Service, Control of Electric Power, and the Illumination of the World with incandescent light.
